We had a nice Father's Day here Sunday. The morning started with the girls jumping on their dad to wake him up and give him cards and balloons. Grandma and Casey and Alyssa and Cohen showed up around noon with barbeque from The Shed-our favorite barbeque restaurant. We all ate (alot) . We had delicious carrot cake for dessert that me and the girls made since it is their dad's fav. Glen decided since it was Father's Day that he would do just what he wanted (whats new?:) and layed on the couch to watch the golf tournament. Grandma thinks our house is freezing so wanted to go outside. We all went out and let Glen snore on the couch. It was hot but bearable. The kids were cooling down with popsicles and I decided to bring the old plastic pool out of the archives (I bought that pool when Alyssa was a baby and she is almost 9!).
Funny to watch the whole crew squeeze into it but they did and loved it like they have every year. We had some ice cold watermelon for a snack since we had the pool to wash off in. Cohen swam in the buff so I had to edit his pic a little bit ;) The girls ended their day by bathing and shampooing outside which makes that routine much easier-we will do that more this summer.. It was a good day.
